What is your New Member process like?
Our New Member process consists of the same requirements as Active brothers of the fraternity, along with projects that help New Members learn the principles of Leadership, Friendship and Service and become integrated into the Brotherhood. We do not tolerate any acts of hazing or related actions.
Can I be a member of both APO and a social fraternity or sorority?
Yes, you can! Because APO is a professional Greek organization, you can be a member of both APO and any social Greek organization. However, you cannot be part of two social fraternities or sororities.
Why should I join APO?
By joining Alpha Phi Omega, you make a life-long commitment to service and leadership. You will join a prestigious community of over 400,000 leaders, with alumni including Bill Clinton, MLK Sr., Michelle Obama, and Bob Love.
How much does it cost to be a Brother of APO?
Active members of APO currently pay $100 a semester to maintain their status. New members pay $120 during the semester.
There are no other fees associated with joining or maintaining membership in the fraternity.
Is APO a big time commitment?
Alpha Phi Omega members attend chapter meetings once a week. Active members conduct 25 hours of service every semester, which they complete through a variety of events that occur at different times to accommodate individual schedules. Social events, leadership workshops, and other fun experiences also take place intermittently.
